craniosacral therapy

craniosacral therapy Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.

The central nervous system is made up of the brain and spinal cord and is heavily influenced by the membranes and fluid that surround and protect it. These soft tissues and fluid are collectively known as the craniosacral system. Everyday stresses and strains placed on the body often cause body tissues to tighten and distort the craniosacral system which can create a barrier to the healthy performance of the central nervous system. Fortunately, such restrictions can be detected and released using soft-touch techniques. Normalizing the environment around the brain and spinal cord enhances the body’s ability to self-correct.
