My goal is to empower individuals to take control of their health. This starts with education and discussion about how the body works and how lifestyle, nutrition and mind/body/spirit can affect your health. I believe that when someone understands their health condition and how something such as a nutrition plan or hormone balancing can help them, they are more likely to buy-in and have more incentive to move forward.

As a naturopathic doctor, I am passionate about helping patients to find the underlying cause of their symptoms. We work together to use the healing power of nature to help you find the healthy life you have been looking for.

I have a strong background in functional medicine laboratory testing, and act as the national clinician support specialist for LifeLabs LP, Canada’s largest medical laboratory. I believe that teaching patients how to use food as their medicine brings a new approach to their health conversation. Food sensitivity testing, hormone testing and nutritional assessments enable me to identify therapeutic targets for my patients and to develop effective individualized treatment plans.

If there is one thing I believe I do that is unique, it is that we seek to understand the underlying issues, rather than to merely diagnose and treat only symptoms. This may sound a bit cliché, but if I merely offer a herb instead of a drug, I have not brought you to a new level of understanding your health.

When not reminiscing about ‘back in the day’ working in Banff on the ski hills, you will likely hear me talk about the things I adore in life – my cats, my wife, what I am growing in my garden and camping… (not necessarily in that order!!)
